Do you have lower back pain? Is that one tight knee giving you trouble in these cold winter conditions? Maybe you experience chronic headaches or have an old sports injury that you can’t seem to find release for. The answer to what ails you is John F. Barnes' myofascial release. I don’t want to keep the secret of this excellent treatment all to myself! I’m hosting a series of workshops where I’ll teach you all about what myofascial release is, how it works, and how you can do it at home when you’re feeling achy, tired or tight!

Myofascial Release (MFR) is the three-dimensional application of sustained pressure and movement into the fascial system for a minimum of 3 to 5 minutes. Fascial strains can create pressure on nerves, blood vessels, muscles, and bones at a force of 2,000 lb/sq in. This begins to pull the body out of alignment causing imbalance or create crushing pressure on pain-sensistive structures leading to pain. The sustained pressure of MFR is less like a mean masseuse and more like the the pressure you would apply when pressing on a temporary tattoo.
I’ve hosted several MFR workshops in the past year and have gotten rave reviews. The best part? They’re fun, affordable, and give me a chance to get to know my Denver community better. These workshops only cost you $20 and that includes a Myofascial ball to take home with you so you can keep practicing. I told you I’m excited to teach you about this amazing treatment!
Traditional massage and the newly popular "foam rolling" techniques actually crush your tissue instead of stretching and releasing it. The workshops will include myofascial release principles and learning common exercises that you can use at home to help relieve pain and stiffness wherever you experience it most frequently.
Once you experience the incredible soothing feeling from myofascial release, you’ll be hooked (and feeling good). Of course, if you have a more nagging injury or pain, you are always welcome to visit me at Be Still P.T. to book a formal evaluation or a private session.
I can’t wait to see you in February! Get signed up for the time that works best for you, before they sell out! Sign up right here.
